Week of October 19, 2015

This week social studies is focusing on finishing up facts about Prehistory.  The two main time frames are the Paleolithic and Neolithic ages.  Students have been researching facts, watching videos, and reading about life during this time era and the turning point of the Agricultural Revolution (invention of farming).  The project that we will start this week is the creation of a board game that illustrates their knowledge of the Paleolithic and Neolithic lifestyles and the Agricultural Revolution. The board game will be used as a review tool before they take a test over this Era during the first week of November.

The goals of this unit is for students to understand archeology and the evidence that suggests what life was like for the first peoples of the world and, too explain the affects on our lives today.
